Fulfilling Social Responsibility, Lighting Up a Better Future! Spotlight Organizes Plant Experience Campaign

(9^th November 2024, Zhangjiagang) Today, Spotlight Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign “Light Up a Better Future – Spotlight Plant Experience” was successfully held in Zhangjiagang plant. The event was attended by Vice Mayor of Zhangjiagang, Weng Yuren; Zhangjiagang CPPCC party members, members of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Economic Development Zone, Zhao Zhikai; Member of Education Working Committee of Zhangjiagang Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Director of Education Supervision Office of Municipal Government, Lian Lidan; and Director of the Social Affairs Bureau of the Economic Development Zone, Qiu Jingjia. Twenty student representatives from key elementary school in Zhangjiagang gathered at Spotlight Plant for a one-day immersive exploration tour that combined “scientific and educational”, “interactive” and “forward-looking” elements.

Weng Yuren, Vice Mayor of Zhangjiagang stated, “In this rapidly evolving technological era, strengthening the scientific literacy of young people is not only an urgent need for the education system to keep pace with development but also a key to nurturing future societal innovation. Immersive Experience Ignites Technological Dreams

The best knowledge comes from practice. The students walked into Spotlight production workshops, witnessing firsthand how sheets of metal and individual components transform from engineers' blueprints into cars ready to hit the road. Inside the workshop, they observed cool robotic arms precisely and efficiently performing each production step, AGV carts singing and moving between production lines, and assembly engineers in uniform piecing together high-quality new energy vehicles with the help of automated equipment. Being in the midst of such an environment allowed the students to experience the immense potential and power of artificial intelligence technology, learning lessons beyond the textbooks.

Going forward, Spotlight will deepen its strategic partnership with primary and secondary schools in Zhangjiagang and Shanghai, designating March and November each year as “Technology Sailing - School Open Month”. During this period, schools can organize visits to Spotlight plant by class, grade or the entire school, enabling more young people to experience the charm of intelligent science and technology.
