Light up a Better Future - Spotlight Planted the Seed of Inspiration in the Mind of Children in Need

In Zhangjiagang, there is a group of children who may face challenges in their family lives or have limited access to opportunities for exploration and learning, yet they remain curious about the world and eager to gain new knowledge. Recently, to enrich their extracurricular experiences, broaden their horizons, and inspire interest in science and technology, the Zhangjiagang 52 Charity Alliance organized a visit for 20 underprivileged children to Spotlight Automotive’s production base. Through immersive plant tours and interactive technology activities, the children experienced the allure of intelligent manufacturing firsthand and planted the seeds of future technology dreams in their hearts.

The participating children were all students registered in Zhangjiagang’s educational support program, coming from Zhangjiagang No. 7 Middle School, Chenghang Primary School, and No. 1 Middle School. To create an engaging and age-appropriate experience, Spotlight worked closely with the 52 Charity Alliance to design a customized tour that was interactive, accessible, and fun for the children. During the visit to the smart production workshop, the children not only learned about automated manufacturing processes, but also gained insight into the daily work of quality inspectors, logistics staff, engineers, and production operators. The tour helped them better understand the diversity of career opportunities behind vehicle manufacturing and appreciate the value of teamwork and skilled labor involved in building a car.

During the interactive session, the children took part in a creative activity themed “My Dream Future Car,” eagerly sharing their imaginative ideas. Some envisioned flying cars, others imagined vehicles capable of instant transportation, while some dreamed of cars that could change colors every day. For these children, the technology study tour was more than just a memorable plant visit — it was also an inspiring and uplifting experience that encouraged personal growth and broadened their horizons. By stepping into a modern smart plant and experiencing advanced technology up close, the children not only witnessed the craftsmanship behind intelligent manufacturing, but also began to see the limitless possibilities for their own futures.

Deeply rooted in the local community, Spotlight remains committed to supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives. Looking ahead, the company aims to continue supporting educational and community programs by opening its smart plant resources to more young people in Zhangjiagang and sharing the inspiration of science and technology with the next generation.
