Unwavering Commitment: The Evolution of our Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives From the “Charity Shop” to the “Caring Plan”

Since 2024, Spotlight has launched a corporate social responsibility initiative that provides ongoing financial support to Zhangjiagang Special Education School. The funds are specifically used to build and operate the school’s charity shop, a program that has become a long-term support platform. Through a “behavior points–reward exchange” system, the charity shop encourages positive behavior and helps students strengthen their sense of rules and self-management skills. According to the school, over the past two years all students have benefited from the program. By earning points through effort and exchanging them for items they like, students have gained greater confidence and motivation to participate in group activities and engage actively in learning.

As the company continued to deepen its social responsibility efforts, it recognized that children with special needs require more than material assistance—they also need opportunities to be seen, respected, and empowered. With this in mind, Spotlight officially launched the Special Children Caring Plan.” Centered on the idea of “empowering growth”, the initiative establishes a three-tier support system—basic support, capability development, and social inclusion—to help build a solid foundation for the children’s future.

Action Like Light: Three-Dimensional Support, Illuminating the Growth Path for Children with Special Needs

At the launch event, Louis Li, Spotlight CEO stated, “Social responsibility runs in the DNA of Spotlight. It is a conviction rooted deep in our hearts and a commitment we must actively fulfill.

To build a systematic and sustainable ecosystem of corporate social responsibility, Spotlight will advance the Special Children Caring Plan through three key areas: employee engagement, resource coordination, and experiential opportunities:

First, establishing an employee volunteer team to provide more heartfelt support

Spotlight Automotive has officially formed the employee volunteer team “Love Nurtures the Children; Intelligence Creates the Future”. After receiving structured training, volunteers will regularly visit the special education school to offer academic tutoring, skills training, and one-on-one mentorship, providing long-term support tailored to each student’s individual needs.

Second, build a charity sale platform to help talent to be recognized and valued

Spotlight has set up a permanent charity sale space at its Zhangjiagang production base to showcase and sell handmade works created by students from the special education school, including ceramics, weaving, and paintings. These works not only reflect the students’ artistic creativity but also embody their positive outlook on life. All proceeds from the charity sales will go directly to the school to support improvements in students’ learning and daily living conditions.

Third, providing career exploration opportunities to open up more possibilities for the future

Leveraging the strengths of the entire automotive manufacturing industry chain, Spotlight will continue to offer plant tours to children with special needs, collaborate with schools to develop career exploration courses, provide students to explore vocational paths and better prepare for future participation in the workforce.

Staying True to Our Mission: Government, Enterprise and School Collaborate to Build a Support Network for Children with Special Needs

Spotlight fully understands that the implementation of the Special Children Caring Plan cannot be achieved by a single entity alone; It requires shared commitment and collective action across society, with comprehensive care and support from all sectors. Li Binglong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhangjiagang Municipal Committee, Deputy Mayor of Zhangjiagang, stated: “The Zhangjiagang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have always placed great importance on children’s welfare and rights protection. We uphold the principle of children first, bringing together diverse social forces to create a comprehensive care system. We continue to support special education by improving school facilities, developing diversified educational programs, and providing personalized educational services for children with special needs. Spotlight’s Special Children Caring Plan aligns closely with the city’s long-standing policy direction and development goals, injecting new momentum into the advancement of special education in Zhangjiagang.”

This upgraded corporate social responsibility initiative marks Spotlight’s transition from a “financial donor” to an “empowerer of growth” for children with special needs. Looking ahead, the company will take the Special Children Caring Plan as a starting point to further deepen its commitment to children’s welfare, demonstrating the power of “technology for good.” turning small glimmers of light into a blazing torch that illuminates the path ahead for more children with special needs, helping their lives shine with brilliant radiance!
