Bo Fan, Suzhou Municipal Party Secretary Visited Spotlight for Research and Inspection

On September 9, Bo Fan, Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, visited Zhangjiagang to conduct a special research tour focused on developing new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions and advancing project investment. Spotlight Automotive, a leading company in Zhangjiagang’s new energy vehicle industry chain, was the first stop of the visit. Ben Xu, Secretary of the Zhangjiagang Municipal Party Committee, accompanied the delegation. Felix Wang, CEO & COO of Spotlight, received the group throughout the visit and introduced the company’s development progress.

During the tour, Felix gave a detailed presentation on the plant layout, product planning, and the company’s overall development. Secretary Bo Fan then visited the production workshop to observe the intelligent vehicle manufacturing process firsthand. He expressed hope that the company would introduce more best-selling models, continue unlocking production capacity, and further increase its market share.

Bo Fan emphasized that Zhangjiagang is currently at a critical stage of industrial transformation, upgrading, and the shift toward new growth drivers. He noted that the city should aim higher, maintain strong momentum, and strive for excellence in every endeavor to open up new prospects for development while giving new meaning to the “Zhangjiagang Spirit” in the new era. He also stressed the importance of accelerating industrial transformation by fully embracing “AI + Manufacturing,” helping traditional industries such as steel and chemicals move up the value chain, while expanding emerging and future-oriented industries including new energy vehicles, auto components, and commercial aerospace, in order to build a more competitive modern industrial system.
